Remarkable Volunteer Council Supporter Award

Girls on the Run New Hampshire Remarkable Volunteer Council Supporter Award

This program was designed by Girls on the Run International to shine a light on the impact our volunteers make on the organization.

Christina Rousseau was selected as a 2023 recipient and we are just so proud of Concord's Broken Ground School Superstar!

Christina has been a part of our GOTR world since 2015, as a coach, a site liaison, and as an integral part of our 5K Celebration Committee. As a school guidance counselor since 2001, she effuses all that is good in the world and wants to make it a better place, especially for her students. Her three nieces had been involved for many years and she saw how much it benefited them in their lives. There are so many proud pictures of Christina as a Running Buddy for her nieces – smiles plastered on their faces! In addition to being the direct connection to her school as the site liaison, Christina has also settled into her current role as “Merchandise Queen” at our 5K events. She is trustworthy, savvy, and enjoys rocking a GOTR cape while overseeing her team of volunteers at the “pop-up shop” at the 5K venue. When bulk orders come out, I always ask Christina for her input and she is spot on! She travels to the office a few weeks before the 5K to ensure that all is ready to go with pricing and presentation. Above and beyond a dedicated volunteer, Christina is, as we say in the GOTR world, “one in a million!”
